While looking through a blog today I found out about a totally awesome website with gifts for just about everyone. The site is www.blueq.com and I am happy to announce I have found the website where I will be buying many Christmas and birthday gifts in the future. :] They have some of the best gag and non-gag gift items I have ever seen, all on one website ! The best part of all- they employ disabled and non-disabled people to work for them aaaaaand 1% of all proceeds go to help a nature conservancy program. Just how awesome is that ? :] Everything is so reasonably priced that I kept clicking on every link to verify that it was not an error in how low the pricing is. I especially loved the following items:
Saving Up For A Little Baby Tin Bank I should get one of these to save for our next child.
Oh Crap, I'm Having A Baby Perfect gift for all new moms !
Lunch Money Coin Purse Is that not the cutest change purse ever ?!
Horses Shoulder Tote I am pretty obsessed with horses but will probably never actually own one.
Dick & Jane Zipper Pouch I think it speaks for itself how awesome it is.
Let's Just Assume I'm Never Wrong Gum Pretty self explanatory, also, right ? ;]
Thanks For Scooping My Poop Hand Sanitizer I should get this for all my relatives with cats !!!
Recipes Tin Cigar Box I so need this for all my recipes that are lose in a drawer.
Random Crap Jr. Tin Treasure Box Who doesn't need one of these for random junk ?
There are also some naughty items, but I'll let you find those and laugh to yourself because you know they are funny, but would never admit it. ;]

get it !!!
I love cats. I always have and I always will.... even though the hair tends to make me sneeze now since having Brett. Thanks, yet again, to the wonderful changes that go along with pregnancy. So of course, anytime there is a kitty video posted somewhere, I have to watch it. Here is another fine example of why cats are just so darn adorable and funny:

the boys
I took this picture a couple weeks ago and kept forgetting to post it. I can't even remember what Brett had gotten into and all over himself but we had to strip him naked and wash him off ! He always thinks it's so fun to sit on the counter with his feet in the sink. :] I love pictures of them together when they don't realize I'm taking a picture ! They sure have a lot of fun together doing whatever. :]

a must for a mom
So my friend Jen posted this story on her blog and I read it while practically bawling my eyes out (more like actually did bawl my eyes out through almost the entire thing). At first, I wasn't going to read it because I saw how long it was and I'm making cookies and wanting to get in the shower so I can relax while Brett is napping. After my curiosity got the best of me, I started reading. This woman completely detailed the day she gave birth to her second daughter so vividly, and with the pictures to go with it, I felt like I was there in the room with them. I could feel every emotion she described and cried for/with her. After reading this story, especially the part at the end about whining over dirty grout and wanting wood floors prior to the birth, it honestly made me feel like the worst parent ever. Not even going to lie - I did ! I still do. That, along with the story Jen also posted about eating one dinner a week of just beans and rice to be reminded of how lucky we are, really makes me want to change some things in my life. (Thanks, Jen ! Keep the awesome blog posts coming !!! :) I may have to re-read this story from time to time to remind myself again, that life could be much harder and I am very lucky with all that I have. My son is perfect, (perfectly terrible ;) we have a roof over our heads, food on the table, two vehicles that work (usually) - one of which is paid off, loving pets that we have a ton of fun with and supportive families. If you are a mom, or even if you're not, please take time to read this story (it's fairly long) and see how it affects you afterward.
amazing story :]

awesome laugh
I posted this on Facebook, but of course, had to post it on here for my family to enjoy as well. :] I found this on the aol page today, and I gotta say, her haircut really made me think of my sister when she was about that age ! LOL Sorry, Stacey !!! I could watch this over and over and it makes me laugh every time. :]

this and that
Brett loves it when we take him to our mall to play in the kid's area. The minute he sets foot on the carpet, he sits down to take off his shoes and socks. It is really gross to think that a ton of booger dripping, germ infested children (and their parents) play in there every day, but luckily, there is a little hand wash station 100 feet away. Since Brett isn't in day care, it's one way to have him interact with other children. It's also in the food court, so daddy buys him chicken nuggets after he's done playing.
(Yes - that is him falling off ! He laughed and said he was okay and went back to playing. :)
I bought him an owl beanie and a train set because trains are his newest obsession.
Heading outside :]
I got him !!!

beach time with grandpa !
We went to the Santa Monica Pier with my dad about two months ago and had a lot of fun ! Brett absolutely loved the rides there and enjoyed his chicken strips and french fry lunch. He thought his jell-o was dip and kept dunking his chicken in it. Whatever floats his boat ! Speaking of boats, his meal was delivered in a little tug boat box. :] I had a hamburger, Bud had a shrimp meal with several different kinds of shrimp and my dad had a spicy shrimp dish. My dad went to the beach for a little over an hour to work on his "tan" while the rest of us walked around, stopped at a small aquarium, found a swing set and went on the rides some more. It took us over two hours to get home with traffic, but was well worth it. :]
